DJ Set Time Calculator — Track Count Estimator
Estimate how many tracks you need for a DJ set based on average song length and mix style.
How We Calculate This
Track Count Formula
Tracks = Set Duration / (Average Track Length - Overlap)
The overlap is subtracted because during a transition, two tracks play simultaneously, effectively making each track contribute less unique time to the set.
Example
60-minute set, 5-minute tracks, 30-second blends: 60 / (5 - 0.5) = 60 / 4.5 = 14 tracks (rounded up).
